Katherine LaNasa, who has portrayed Nurse Dana Evans in the HBO Max medical drama The Pitt, recently shared claims about experiences she believes she had involving her late ex-husband, Dennis Hopper. According to LaNasa, Hopper appeared to her multiple times after his death in 2010. She said the experiences initially felt unsettling before later taking on a more comforting nature.

The Pitt star Katherine LaNasa revealed in a recent interview that her former husband, Dennis Hopper, came to “visit” her multiple times since he died in 2010. Hopper and LaNasa were together from 1989 to 1992.
During a recent W Magazine interview, LaNasa discussed experiences that she believes involved Hopper following his death more than a decade ago.
“I do believe in ghosts. The ghost of Dennis Hopper would not leave me alone for a really long time,” LaNasa explained. “We’ve been divorced a very long time, but I was the last wife that he’d been with that he wasn’t currently divorcing, so I think that level of intimacy when you’re dying is maybe only something you can do with a partner?”
Hopper married actress Victoria Duffy in 1996. However, he filed for divorce from his fifth wife approximately five months before his death.
LaNasa said that her early experiences involving Hopper felt “scary.” She recalled, “He came one time looking like when he was at the Academy Awards…He was in a wheelchair, and he fell down, and it was super upsetting.”
“He used to come over me in a sweat and I told him he had to leave me alone, and then he did,” she continued. “And then I felt really weird about it. And then the day that I told someone how weird I felt about it, I walked home an odd way and ran into a gallery that had all of his photographs up, and a photograph of him in the very back of the gallery with a fedora on winking at the camera.”
LaNasa said she later had a dream that she viewed as providing closure. “We were both in a cafeteria in Greece, and he told me that he was okay and that he wasn’t in pain anymore and he was good,” she said. “And I never heard from him again.”
Katherine LaNasa is expected to return in The Pitt Season 2.
