Many royal members were part of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling’s wedding in All Saints Church in Kembleon on Saturday. Apart from Prince William and Kate Middleton, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and their husbands, also made it to the ceremony along with a few others. But what caught everyone’s attention was the warm exchange between William and Beatrice, where he gave a warm greeting to his cousin with a kiss. And this move, per body language expert Judi James, was intentional from William.
“William is a totally camera-shrewd royal,” James told the Mirror, but added that the future month’s actions towards Beatrice at the wedding were deliberate and earnest despite the scandal surrounding the York sisters. As per the expert, “William is performing what’s called an ‘act of inconvenience'” by “going out of his way to bestow a warm-looking kiss on Beatrice’s cheek.” “He has to bend and stoop quite low to plant it and we can see how hunched his back is here,” pointed out James.
However, the expert believes the same can’t be said for Beatrice. As per James, the future monarch’s “public display” hints at “affection and acceptance,” but his cousin “doesn’t appear to be returned in full here though.” “Beatrice looks away during the ritual in an act of distraction and her lips are pursed rather than relaxed in a fond smile. There’s no response of either relief or gratitude from her here,” noted the expert.
