Donald Trump reportedly met with 22 doctors during latest medical exam
According to The Washington Post, Donald Trump saw around 22 medical specialists for his annual medical exam last month. It is reportedly double the number of doctors the president saw during his previous health check-ups, apparently setting a new presidential record.
The number has raised eyebrows with several medical professionals calling it unusual, while speaking with The Washington Post. Also, the White House informed the outlet that some generalist doctors were among the 22 doctors. This has sparked a new wave of health concerns for the president.
Jonathan Reiner, former vice president Dick Cheney’s cardiologist, told the outlet, “It is an extraordinary number.”
Meanwhile, Dr. Sean Barbabella, the president’s physician, said that Trump “remains in excellent health, demonstrating strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical function,” following his health exam in May.
Additionally, Trump boasted about getting a “perfect” score in four Montreal Cognitive Assessments in a Truth Social post on May 31. “I scored a perfect 30 out of 30, considered ‘extreme intelligence,'” the president wrote. “In fact, this is my fourth such test, all PERFECT or 120 correct answers out of 120 questions asked! It is very rare that anyone gets a Perfect Score, especially when achieved four times in a row,” he added.
Most recently, medical experts questioned a White House report on Trump’s medical examination, arguing that it doesn’t provide sufficient information about his cardiovascular testing.
Speaking with The Wall Street Journal, Texas vascular surgeon Dr. William Shutze said, “If I was creating a report to send to another physician, I would have mentioned a little bit more about the carotid ultrasound.” He added, “What amount of plaque there is going to be—because almost all of us are going to have some buildup there.”
