Marjorie Taylor Greene labeled Donald Trump a “traitor” for his key role in halting the release of the Epstein files. She revealed that Trump claimed to her that his friends would get hurt if the files were released. This comment comes a few months after Trump called Greene a “traitor” and “deranged predecessor.” Trump also hailed her replacement, Clay Fuller, for winning the Georgia elections.
Marjorie Taylor Greene lashes out at Donald Trump over alleged opposition to Epstein files release
Taylor Greene recently appeared on CNN’s “The Source With Kaitlan Collins.” There, she slammed the lawmakers for opposing the release of the Epstein Files. Greene said, “They should be considered traitors. They’re traitors, the ones that refused to release the Epstein Files, want to cover up for pedophiles and rapists and all sorts of disgusting things in these files. Those are the traitors to the American people, and they should be ashamed of themselves.”
She revealed that these comments are also aimed at the president. Greene claimed Donald Trump called her and explained his decision to halt the release of files. She said that Trump told her that his friends might get hurt. Therefore, he opposed releasing the files publicly. “And I think we’ve seen a lot of that dribble out. So yeah, it all matches, it completely adds up. From the phone call I had with the president, to this report that is coming out, it totally, it all lines up,” Greene continued.
The host found it impressive that Greene, a former MAGA supporter, has been openly critical of the president. She responded that it’s striking to her that the administration they voted for on the promise of transparency and that campaigned to bring reforms is the same one that contributed to blocking the release of the files. Greene added that Trump turned on her and called her a traitor instead for advocating to bring the files to light.
