Justin Trudeau Asks Katy Perry To Move In, but There’s a Catch — Source

Things may be getting more serious for Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau. A source claims the former Canadian prime minister wants the pop star to spend “part of the year” at his newly purchased Montreal home.

The idea is said to reflect the couple’s alleged growing commitment, but insiders suggest it comes with a significant complication. Perry’s life, family responsibilities, and home base reportedly remain firmly tied to California.

Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry may still be balancing a long-distance romance. However, sources claim the couple has started looking at ways to spend more time together. Per an insider, Trudeau reportedly recently showed Perry his new $3.1 million home in Montreal’s exclusive Outremont neighborhood.

“Justin is showing Katy his new home,” a source told Us Weekly. “He wants her to live part of the year with him.” The plan is not necessarily about Perry relocating to Canada permanently. Insiders claim Trudeau sees the property as a second home for the “Dark Horse” singer whenever she is away from her busy schedule in the United States.

In fact, sources claim the house offers plenty of room for that possibility. The property is reportedly a large seven-bedroom residence located in one of Montreal’s most desirable areas. An insider suggested the home could easily accommodate Perry and her daughter, Daisy, creating space for a “blended family.”

Still, there is a reason the idea may be easier said than done. According to a second source, Perry’s life allegedly remains deeply rooted in Montecito, California. The Grammy-nominated artist reportedly spends most of her time there, and her daughter attends school in the area. The insider also claimed that Perry and former fiancé Orlando Bloom have a “good rhythm with coparenting.” As such, California has become the natural center of her day-to-day life.

Because of those commitments, sources suggest Trudeau is not asking Perry to leave California behind. Instead, the alleged hope is that she could divide her time between the two locations. For now, insiders claim, the couple has “found a rhythm” despite living in different countries. One source alleged that distance has not created major challenges because they “make a point to see each other as often as possible.”

That dynamic was on display during a recent visit to Montreal. The couple is said to have spent much of their time together enjoying ordinary activities. They allegedly shopped for groceries, attended dinner gatherings, took walks around the city, and spent time with friends.
