Donald Trump has hit back at renowned sports commentator Stephen A. Smith after the analyst threw shade on the president, live on air, for allegedly sleeping during Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs. Trump took to social media to reply to Smith’s comments, calling him “an arrogant fool” as well as “a low IQ individual.”

Earlier today, Donald Trump fired shots at the 58-year-old sportscaster for claiming the president was sleeping during the recent Knicks game.
In a scathing Truth Social rant, Trump noted, “Stephen A. Smith is an arrogant fool, a low IQ individual. In other words, he’s “dumb as a rock,” and totally unqualified to ever think of running for high political office, or even low political office, for that matter! He’d get annihilated in a debate by the most incompetent of politicians. Joe Biden’s now “fabled” performance would look great by comparison to anything that this loudmouth huckster has to offer, which isn’t much! Within a few weeks, they’d laugh him out of politics!!!”
Donald Trump’s outburst against Stephen A. Smith comes after the latter accused the president of dozing off during the June 8 match-up between the Knicks and the Spurs. “Guess what he was doing during the game, ladies and gentlemen? Go online, look at the videos. I’m not going to accuse him of snoring, because I wasn’t in earshot, but the brother wasn’t awake,” Smith said on the Tuesday episode of ESPN’s First Take. “He wasn’t awake.”
Smith also mocked Trump for doing the very same thing he had once criticized Joe Biden for. “If it was that important for you to be there, why did you look like you were asleep? Didn’t you call out former President Joe Biden, ‘Sleepy Joe’? Well, what should we call you? Cause you weren’t awake,” he remarked.
