Jimmy Kimmel Resurfaces After Predicting Donald Trump’s Knicks Game Moment

Jimmy Kimmel predicted Donald Trump’s sleeping moment ahead of the Knicks vs. Spurs game. During a monologue taped before the game, he joked that the game’s start time might be a little past the president’s bedtime. He further took another jab at Trump’s occasional dozing off during important meetings.

During Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host spoke about the NBA Finals time and how its start time could not align with Trump’s sleep schedule. He said, “[It’s] pretty late for the president to be out.” He added, “Fortunately,” before poking fun at his public sleeping moments. “He was able to squeeze in a nap during every one of his meetings today,” he continued jokingly.

During the Knicks vs. Spurs game, the president was seated in a suite covered with bulletproof glass. In a clip online, he appeared to have dozed off at one point before opening his eyes upon the loud cheers from the audience during the game. Moreover, he was also met with boos at Madison Square Garden during the national anthem. However, he remained unfazed, perceiving the noise positively. Before boarding Air Force One, he said, “It was, I think, mostly cheers. It was loud, and it was very enthusiastic.”

The boos grew louder every time the president showed up on the jumbo screen at the game. Kimmel expected this reaction earlier on. He said, “We don’t know what happened or who won. All we know for sure is that Trump is about as popular in New York as pineapple on pizza.”

Additionally, the White House also faced criticism for its caption on a post from the game that saw Trump paying a military salute as he faced the US flag. The caption read, “King of New York.” This led to mixed reactions from the people on the internet.
