Hunter Biden slams Jake Tapper for criticizing his mom
In a June 3 X post, Hunter Biden lashed out at CNN anchor Jake Tapper for criticizing his mother, Jill Biden, in his review of the former first lady’s new memoir, View from the East Wing. Tapper slammed Jill’s defense of Joe Biden’s mental and physical fitness during the summer of 2024 in his review, calling it “very difficult to believe, if not just downright false.”
In response to Tapper’s criticism, Hunter wrote, “So let me get this straight. Jake Tapper is focused on attacking my Mom.” Mentioning Trump’s daughter and son-in-law, he continued, “Jared and Ivanka are building a private island paradise on Albanian protected land. Don Jr married the daughter of Epstein’s banker, and a startup his fund backs just got a record $620M Pentagon loan.”
Hunter added, “Eric is taking an Israeli drone company public for $1.5B in the middle of a war with Iran that nobody wanted. And I know: “But what about your paintings, Hunter?” Please.”
Hunter’s attack on Tapper comes shortly after the CNN journalist’s scathing review of Jill’s new book. Tapper then alluded to his book Original Sin, which he co-wrote with Axios reporter Alex Thompson. He stated that it detailed Joe’s “mental acuity issues that got much more pronounced in 2023 and 2024 but had reared their heads before then. None of them are in her book, of course.”
The CNN anchor continued, “The issue was never about whether he was good, wise or had the same values.” He added, “It was about his ability to run for president, to win the campaign, and to serve as president. The best she says about that is that he would be ‘capable enough.’ Capable enough?”
Most recently, Jill clapped back at Andrew Bates, a deputy press secretary in the Biden administration, who criticized her book. As per the New York Post, Bates said, “I don’t see why that painful conversation for the party needed to be publicly reopened right now.” Jill fired back, stating, “I want to say to Andrew: Call me up, and say it to my face, buddy.”
