Donald Trump’s health has been making headlines for quite some time now. His health raised concern after many saw visible bruising and bandages to cover the spots. Moreover, the president has gone in for many medical exams since returning to office in January 2025, with his recent physical exam in May further fueling health speculations. While many have been debating the reason for his frequent checkups, Dr. Mehmet Oz set the record straight at the recent press conference.
During a White House press briefing on June 2, a reporter asked why Trump keeps “going back in for checkups” if he is in “such perfect health.” To this, Dr. Oz replied, “I think he likes the results.” Elaborating further, the doctor said that the president “does really well” and “aces the tests every single day.”
“I do actually believe that he is curious to make sure everything is going in the right direction. He’s a very meticulous person in so many ways that are often underappreciated,” Dr. Oz added. He even stressed that for Trump “to want to know all the numbers and keep on top of him, it’s the same reason he calls people at you know, odd hours because something’s on his mind. He wants to deal with it.”
More recently, Trump was scheduled for a late May visit to Walter Reed Hospital for his third health checkup in 13 months. Soon after the results, he claimed on a Truth Social post that the physical exam went “PERFECTLY.”
