Taylor Swift has fans gagged after her Toy Story update

Taylor Swift has seemingly broken the internet with her Toy Story update. On June 1, the singer made an exciting announcement on her X account. She confirmed that her “new original song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You,’” will feature in Disney and Pixar’s upcoming movie.

“I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening,” her post read.

Meanwhile, she has her fans gagged over this news. Many commented below the post with positive memes, while some even got emotional. One user wrote, “So we’re getting Taylor’s Version of childhood now?” Another tweeted, “Toy Story 5 already had me crying and now there’s an original Taylor Swift song? Be serious.” Aside from fan reactions, Swift’s post has garnered over 5 million views as of this writing.

Furthermore, Pixar and the franchise’s social media handles have also shared the news with short clips. Additionally, Disney released a statement (via Variety), addressing Swift’s involvement in the upcoming movie. “Inspired by the rootin’ tootin’ cowgirl Jessie’s ongoing journey in Toy Story 5 that began back in Toy Story 2, ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ also marks a return to Taylor Swift’s country roots, blending styles that have defined her record-breaking career as a songwriter and artist,” it stated.
