Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to introduce Boomerang, played by Eman Esfandi, who is best known for playing Ezra Bridger in Disney+ Star Wars series Ahsoka. While not much is known regarding his role, a new speculation from reliable scooper Alex Perez may have spilled some beans on his character arc, especially in relation to MJ.
In the recent Q&A session for The Cosmic Circus, Perez was asked about Boomerang’s future in the MCU and whether he will be a “one and done” character. In his response, the insider said, “Hahahaha. There’s a bit more layers to Eman’s character. Let’s just say they won’t last long if Spider-Man has anything to say about it.”
Now, the twist of ‘layers’ that Perez may have hinted at might be that Boomerang is going to be MJ’s new boyfriend in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. After No Way Home’s events, it’s already known that MJ has forgotten Peter Parker.
Hence, she may end up having a relationship with someone else, as suggested by scoopers Perez and Cryptic HD QUALITY on X. The recently revealed posters for the movie featured Boomerang with a partially visible face. Growing speculation suggests that he might be MJ’s new boyfriend, who appeared in the first trailer. It showed Esfandi’s character getting close to MJ.
Perez commented on a poster shared on X, featuring Boomerang’s obscure face. He wrote, “Sup Ezra”, implying that the actor was none other than Esfandi, who played Ezra in Ahsoka and was also seen in the Brand New Day trailer alongside MJ.
