The seven-time Formula 1 world champion recently made it clear that retirement is nowhere on his radar, which reportedly complicates matters for Kim Kardashian as she looks ahead to the next chapter of her life. Lewis Hamilton spends much of the year traveling across the globe for races, sponsor commitments, and team obligations because of his demanding schedule.
A source told Star magazine that while Hamilton checks many of the boxes Kardashian looks for in a partner, “except being able to provide the stability she craves at this stage of life. Kim wants marriage and kids with Lewis, but it’s hard to see how that can realistically happen when he’s traveling around the world nine months of the year,” the source claimed.
While Hamilton travels from one country to another for his career, Kardashian remains rooted in California. The reality star and entrepreneur balances several responsibilities close to home. This includes being a full-time mother, overseeing her billion-dollar SKIMS business, and continuing to pursue acting opportunities.
According to the insider, the jet-setting nature of Hamilton’s career initially added excitement to their relationship. “When they first started dating, bouncing around from one track to the next was exciting for Kim,” the source said. That excitement, however, has reportedly started to fade as Kardashian struggles to spend extended periods away from Los Angeles. The source claimed that her demanding schedule and family responsibilities make frequent travel increasingly difficult. “Kim is in a very hard place,” the source alleged.
She’s ultimately going to have to decide if she can adapt to his way of life, or not.” The insider added that Kardashian would never ask Hamilton to step away from a career. “There’s no way Kim is going to ask Lewis to quit the career that he adores,” the source continued. “It’s Kim who has to choose.”
