White House Draws ‘Six Flags’ Comparison Amid UFC Cage & Ballroom Plans

White House images showing a UFC cage and ballroom drew sharp “Six Flags” jokes online.

One post said the grounds looked like “a Six Flags” after a hurricane. The reaction followed new aerial views of the presidential residence as it was under construction. The setup was tied to Donald Trump’s birthday UFC event and ballroom plans. It also came as critics mocked the South Lawn staging. Another X user asked if Americans knew how “tacky” the show looked.

White House is compared to ‘Six Flags’ amid Donald Trump’s new UFC cage and ballroom construction

According to a USA Today report, satellite images showed updates to White House construction. The images showed ballroom work and Trump’s UFC setup. The report said the president moved quickly to reshape Washington’s physical landscape. It cited the East Wing demolition for a new ballroom. It also listed Kennedy Center renovations and a planned “Triumphal Arch.” Meanwhile, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool was being painted “American flag blue.”

According to The Daily Beast, UFC on Paramount+ shared a new look. The post read, “An updated look at the South Lawn ahead of UFC Freedom 250.” The outlet described a red, white, and blue structure near the White House. Trump said he expected 5,000 spectators for the cage event. He called it “the biggest event we’ve ever had at the White House.” When Joe Rogan called it “kind of a gimmick,” Trump reportedly replied, “Life is a gimmick.” He then added, “But it’s a good gimmick.”

However, the online reaction centered on the UFC cage and ballroom optics. An X user wrote, “Do Americans know how tacky this show they are having on the White House lawn is?” She then called it “really low class.” Another user commented, “The White House looks like a Six Flags that closed because it got hit by a hurricane.” The Daily Beast also said the President and CEO of UFC, Dana White, claimed no taxpayer money was being used. Still, the construction kept the presidential residence in the backlash.
