Joy Behar Reveals Why She Is Taking a Break From The View

Joy Behar recently announced that she will be taking a short break from The View. The longtime co-host revealed that she plans to travel to Europe. She will travel before performing in her upcoming stage production. Fans can expect a brief absence as she embarks on both a vacation and a theatrical venture.

Joy Behar confirms hiatus from The View

In an interview with The View’s Behind the Table podcast, Joy Behar revealed that she will be heading to Europe for a vacation. She will travel before appearing in the play, My First Ex-Husband.

She said, “I fly to Paris this week. Yes. And then I go take the Chunnel to London after a week. I’ll be in London the second week doing my play, My First Ex-Husband, at the Boulevard Theatre in the West End.”

She also shared details about the production and the cast members joining her on stage. “We have Jackie Hoffman and I being the two American women talking, and then we have two British actresses.”

Several familiar faces will fill in for Joy Behar during her break. The View executive producer Brian Teta revealed that Cheryl Underwood will join the panel. Journalist Kara Swisher will also appear. Rotating panelist Ana Navarro will feature as a guest co-host.

The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg will also be shifting her schedule slightly to accommodate Joy’s absence. Despite taking occasional breaks from the show, Behar has repeatedly said she has no plans to retire.

With her European trip ahead, Joy Behar will be away from The View for a short time. However, fans can expect to see her back on the panel soon, as she continues balancing television and other creative projects.
