Erupcja gets digital streaming release date
Erupcja will hit digital streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. There, viewers can purchase or rent a digital copy of the film.
Pete Ohs served as the film’s director, co-writer, co-producer, cinematographer, and even editor. It seems to be an intimate project, as the majority of the cast was also involved in the writing and producing process. Apart from Charli XCX as Bethany, it also features Lena Góra as Nel, Jeremy O. Harris as Claude, Will Madden as Rob, and Agata Trzebuchowska as Ula.
Erupcja follows Bethany, a British tourist vacationing in Warsaw with her boyfriend Rob. Their romantic trip gets disrupted after a volcano erupts, leaving them stranded in Poland. Aware that Rob will propose to her the following day, Bethany ditches him to reconnect with her childhood friend, Nel. The pair wanders around the city, meeting new people while Bethany questions her future and her relationship with Rob.
The film premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival on September 4. It later debuted in theaters on April 17, 2026. Upon release, it received high praise from critics, especially for the singer’s authentic performance.
Critics gave it an 85% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, users on IMDb handed it a score of 6.4 out of 10. The film was produced on an extremely low budget of just $200,000 and made roughly $228,925 at the box office.
Erupcja is currently available to pre-order on Prime Video for $14.99.
