Stick Season 2 release date got an update, courtesy of new information on Owen Wilson’s Apple TV show. Series creator Jason Keller has now shed some light on exactly where production stands.
Apple TV’s golf comedy became a breakout hit following its debut in summer 2025, leading to a Season 2 renewal while the first season was still airing. Since then, fans have been largely in the dark about what comes next, until now.
Jason Keller talks about when Stick Season 2 will release
Showrunner Jason Keller revealed that Stick Season 2 has already finished filming. He is now deep in post-production, though Apple TV has not yet handed him an official release date. “We’re done with production. I’m deep into post-production now. We’re hoping that the show will release sooner rather than later,” Keller told Deadline.
With filming complete and post-production actively underway, a 2026 release date window for Stick Season 2 is looking increasingly certain. A late-summer slot is possible, mirroring Season 1’s run, but the fact that Keller himself does not yet have a confirmed date from Apple TV suggests a fall 2026 debut may be the more realistic outcome.
After all, Season 1 ended on a cliffhanger with Pryce Cahill hitting a ball well enough to hint that his days as a professional golfer are not quite finished. Keller and Wilson have since confirmed that Pryce will return to competitive golf in Season 2, moving beyond his role as young prodigy Santi’s coach.
The main cast comes back with Owen Wilson, Peter Dager, Timothy Olyphant, Marc Maron, Judy Greer, Mariana Treviño, and Lilli Kay. Season 2 also welcomes new cast members: Missi Pyle, Billy Zane, Rex Linn, and John Higgins.
No official premiere date for Stick Season 2 has been announced by Apple TV yet.
