Brooke Hogan Fires Back After Critics Call Hulk Hogan Tribute a ‘Thirst Trap’

Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke Hogan, reacted to the backlash she received for posting a bikini-clad picture while mourning her father. In a new post on May 22, 2026, Brooke called out those who called her post a “thirst trap” and asserted that no one had the right to demonize it.

Hogan’s original post drew much scrutiny when it was posted.

Brooke Hogan slams ‘trolls’ over her tribute post

Brooke Hogan, the daughter of late WWF legend Hulk Hogan, recently posted a carousel on Instagram, mourning her father. However, the post turned controversial because of the first picture in the carousel, which featured Brooke in a bikini.

Despite the caption and context of the post, many called out the inclusion of this image and even called it a “thirst trap.”

On May 22, 2026, two days after the original post, Brooke slammed the critics who called out the earlier post. “Trust me, if I wanted to give you a thirst trap, you would have gotten one. If I were a surfer, a swim instructor, heavier, thinner… would it be less shocking?” she wrote in a post, which began with edited pictures featuring other body types in the same bikini that she was wearing in the original post.

“I grew up in swimsuits. I understand that not a lot of the world gets that. But this is my home. This is me. This is my one of many days I grieved my dad. Shame on anyone for demonizing it,” she continued in the post. “am a human. My father was human. And you people have the nerve to act like you’re experts on ANY topic or know anything about my experience with him? Even my closest family has no clue what I know and have experienced. And you come at me with your ignorant opinions and nasty comments hiding behind your screens? Go back under your bridge, trolls.”

In the carousel, she also wrote more about her father. “I know he loved me, and I loved him. I think more than anyone ever did,” she wrote about Hulk Hogan, “But in the last few years, I think he lost sight of this.”

She further added, “I am not obligated to explain to ignorant people who haven’t walked in my shoes – how I lost my dad – before I lost my dad.”
