As per Radar Online, Prince Harry’s alleged friendship fallout with George Clooney is “bruising” him. Insiders revealed to the outlet that the 41-year-old royal is reportedly feeling humiliated by the collapse of his friendship with the Jay Kelly star.
Notably, Harry and Markle famously surrounded themselves with Hollywood royalty when they married in 2018. The star-studded guest list included Clooney and his wife Amal, David and Victoria Beckham, Idris Elba, Elton John, Serena Williams, and Oprah Winfrey, amongst others.
However, ever since the couple moved out of the Royal home and relocated to California, their celebrity friendships appear to have faded as well. But as per insiders, Harry is grieving the loss of his friendship with Clooney more than any other A-list friendship.
The insider shared: “Of all the celebrity relationships that have quietly fizzled out since Harry and Meghan walked away from royal duties and reinvented themselves in California, this is unquestionably the one that has hit Harry hardest on a personal level and left him reeling with embarrassment that it’s over.”
Reportedly, the Duke of Sussex truly believed that the Clooneys would become a part of their inner circle. As per Harry, the Clooneys understood the pressures of stardom and the responsibility that comes with it. He believed the couple together could use their prowess and influence to build something meaningful together.
“That is why the apparent distancing from George has been so bruising for him emotionally,” the insider added. Continuing further, the source shared, “He cannot understand how things went from private holidays, warm public praise, and regular contact to what feels like total silence. The fact that there has never been a confrontation or proper explanation has left Harry feeling embarrassed, rejected, and deeply confused about where their bromance went wrong.”
