Ray J recently participated in an MMA fight that didn’t go too well for him. He got knocked out while duking it out with YouTuber DeWayne Stevenson/DeShawn Raw, aka Supa Hot Fire. Notably, earlier this year, he sparked health concerns by suggesting his days were numbered.
Ray J gets knocked out in MMA fight
While participating in Kick streamer Adin Ross‘s UFC Apex event, Brand Risk #14, at Las Vegas, Ray J, who fought Supa Hot Fire, was knocked out in the second round after the latter dealt a swift yet powerful punch.
Upon being hit, the “Let It Go” singer became stunned and fell to the floor. Following this, the referee rushed to check on him, while his opponent headed to the edge of the ring. Ray J tried to get up but ended up sitting down, clearly exhausted. This prompted the referee to end the match.
After the fight, in an interview, Ray J suggested, without revealing too much, that the match was fixed, but Supa Hot Fire didn’t fight as planned. He even hinted at a lot of money having been lost because of this.
“Damn, bro … like that? For real … that’s janky as f**k,” he remarked in frustration. “I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to get nobody in trouble, but damn … we took an L tonight. You know how much money we lost? Wow … wow.”
Ray J’s comments sparked suspicion from Ross, who promised to investigate what really went on, stressing he is taking the matter seriously. However, the latter clarified that the actual fight wasn’t rigged.
This fight comes several months after the R&B singer was reportedly hospitalized due to pneumonia and heart pains (via TMZ). Around this time, he suggested in a video shared on social media that he didn’t have much time left to live. “2027 is definitely a wrap for me. That’s what they say,” he shared. However, the person with him in the footage tried to discourage him from being negative and to disregard what the doctors said.
