3 $1.8B Jackie Chan Movies Are Coming To Hulu Very Soon

Three beloved animated movies featuring Jackie Chan‘s voice will soon be available to stream on Hulu. All three films have achieved incredible success on both the commercial and critical fronts, cumulatively grossing over $1.8 billion at the global box office.

First three Kung Fu Panda movies arrive on Hulu in June

The first three Kung Fu Panda films land on Hulu’s streaming platform on Monday, June 1, 2026.

Across the franchise, the main characters are voiced by Jackie Chan, Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, and Randall Duk Kim, among others.

Directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne, the original film centers on Po, a goofy but kind-hearted panda who unexpectedly becomes the legendary Dragon Warrior of the Valley of Peace. Under the reluctant training of Master Shifu, Po learns kung fu and defeats a powerful enemy named Tai Lung.

The film arrived in theaters on June 6, 2008, and became an instant classic. It received positive reviews from nearly everyone, resulting in a critics’ score of 87% and a user score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes. Made on a reported budget of $130 million, the film managed to make a return of $632.3 million worldwide.

In its sequel, Kung Fu Panda 2, Po, alongside the Furious Five, protects the valley from the tyrannical peacock, Lord Shen. During their mission, Po learns about his origins and his parents, adding a deeply emotional narrative arc to the entry.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson directed the sequel. While its ratings were lower than those of the predecessor, it is the highest-grossing film of the three. On Rotten Tomatoes, critics have rated it 82%, and users have given it 74%. And at the box office, it earned $665.6 million from global markets against a $150 million budget.

Kung Fu Panda 3, helmed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson and Alessandro Carloni, debuted in theaters on January 29, 2016. In it, Po reunites with his biological father, Li Shan, and travels to a hidden panda village to learn more about his past. Meanwhile, Kai, a yak warrior from the spirit realm, escapes and steals the chi of kung fu masters across China.

This installment fared better with the critics, who rated it 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, the users handed it 79%. By the end of its theatrical run, it had grossed roughly $521.1 million worldwide.
