Steve and Yelena could have a heartfelt moment in Avengers: Doomsday
A new rumor suggests that Steve Rogers and Yelena Belova will share an emotional moment in Avengers: Doomsday, talking about Natasha Romanoff.
This comes from scooper MyTimetoShineHello, who shared the rumor on X (formerly Twitter).
Steve and Natasha first met in the first Avengers movie. They worked together to stop Loki and the Chitauri invasion and formed a friendship in the process. Their friendship was developed further during the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in which they went on missions together for S.H.I.E.L.D., and uncovered a HYDRA conspiracy.
Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War continued developing their strong bond. Romanoff’s closeness with Rogers and trust in his judgment prompted her to betray Iron Man, whom she had earlier sided with, to help him protect Steve’s lifelong friend Bucky Barnes.
Romanoff later went on the run and reunited with Rogers, working with him from the shadows by the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Later, they grew closer during the five years between Infinity War and Endgame. Rogers became devastated after learning of Natasha’s sacrifice to acquire the Soul Stone.
Meanwhile, Yelena and Natasha grew up together as children before their forced separation, as shown in the Black Widow movie’s flashbacks. They reunited years later to destroy the Red Room before splitting up again. Yelena later learned Natasha died during the events of Endgame. Assuming Clint Barton (Hawkeye) was responsible, thanks to Val de Fontaine’s manipulation, she fought him in the Hawkeye Disney+ series. However, she stopped after learning the truth.
