Amazon MGM Studios announced that they have begun auditions for the next James Bond. Auditions for new James Bond are ‘underway’

Amazon MGM has begun the hunt for the next James Bond. They issued a crisp statement: “The search for the next James Bond is underway. While we don’t plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”

Variety revealed in an exclusive report that the studio has reportedly recruited casting director Nina Gold to find the next Bond. A source close to the production confirmed her involvement. Notably, the new actor will replace Daniel Craig as the new 007.

Gold boasts an incredible résumé as a casting director and has handled massive projects well. Her casting credits include HBO’s Game of Thrones, Netflix’s The Crown, as well as five films in the Star Wars franchise. She has also done casting for movies such as Les Misérables, The Martian, and Conclave. Interestingly, the Academy Awards introduced an award for casting, and Nina Gold deservedly earned a nomination for her work on Hamnet.

Furthermore, Denis Villeneuve will direct the next Bond movie. Amy Pascal and David Heyman will produce. Notably, Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, has been tapped to pen the script.

Fans chimed in with their own casting choices. One fan commented, “PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! When possible, PLEASE find the next James Bond to be as the ORIGINAL James Bond was; i.e., James Bond. Sir Connery was masculine, tall, rugged, AMAZING! Do NOT use anyone that is shorter than 6 feet 3 ins tall. In incredible athleticism; PLEASE!”

A second fan wrote, “Choose wisely. After such a long wait, the audience won’t forgive a miscast. The stakes have never been higher.”
