“I do not believe that Meghan will ever come back to this country,” he said during the May 13 segment of The Sun’s Royal Exclusive. He went on to claim that public appearances in Britain would be difficult for Meghan. This is because of what he described as a “lack of enthusiasm” toward her. According to Ray, he does not think she “would be able to cope” with that kind of atmosphere.
The royal expert also alleged that Meghan could face criticism regardless of the type of event she attended. He suggested that even a non-royal appearance could attract negative reactions from some crowds. “You just got to look at people and listen to what’s being said about Meghan in this country,” Ray added. “Nobody wants her here.”
The claims surfaced as Prince Harry is reportedly attempting to make any future UK trip less stressful for his wife. Previous reports have alleged that Harry wants “firm reassurance” that Meghan would be treated respectfully. An insider claimed the Duke of Sussex is concerned about Meghan feeling heavily judged or criticized during public appearances.
