Guy Ritchie gives update on The Gentlemen Season 2 release date

Guy Ritchie recently confirmed that The Gentlemen will return before the end of 2026. The filmmaker shared the update during an interview with ScreenRant while promoting his film In the Grey. Ritchie mentioned The Gentlemen alongside several other projects on his busy upcoming slate.

“We’ve got The Gentlemen coming out soon, before the end of the year,” Ritchie stated during the interview. He also revealed that MobLand and Wife & Dog will arrive in the same timeframe. “We’ve got three or four things coming out before the end of the year,” the director added confidently.

Ritchie indicated that production work on his end has already concluded. “Well, we finished our bit, so we’re wrapping up that whole series now,” he explained. The filmmaker’s comments suggest post-production is now underway for the upcoming season.

The Gentlemen Season 1 launched on Netflix in March 2024 and became a major hit for the platform. The series followed Theo James as Edward “Eddie” Horniman, an aristocrat who inherits a country estate hiding a marijuana empire. Netflix renewed the show after its strong debut performance with audiences worldwide.

Ritchie originally created The Gentlemen universe with his 2019 film of the same name. The Netflix series expanded that world with new characters and storylines set in the English countryside.

Season 2 does not yet have an official release date from Netflix despite Ritchie’s confirmation of a 2026 launch window.

Fans can expect further announcements in the coming months as the series nears completion. Ritchie’s track record of delivering stylish British crime stories continues to fuel anticipation for the show’s return.
