Jimmy Kimmel makes another Melania Trump joke
It appears that the feud between veteran talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and First Lady Melania Trump is continuing.
Despite criticism from Melania and Donald Trump, Kimmel has continued making jokes about the Trump family, particularly Melania. During Monday night’s episode, Kimmel again criticized the president while discussing Trump’s late-night social media posting spree, which included several unusual posts. One post featured Melania smiling while standing alongside several top officials.
“At 11:04, he posted this even more unbelievable picture of Melania smiling, which is… I don’t know the last time we saw that,” Kimmel said about the image, which was posted without additional context.
Later in his monologue, Kimmel played footage of Trump saying that his wife does not appreciate his dance moves. “Melania hates when you do things. No way!” Kimmel responded. “I can’t believe it. What a buzzkill. Why would she hate that? It’s so much fun. He’s just trying to have fun.”
Meanwhile, Kimmel has also faced a wave of backlash in recent days, with Melania publicly criticizing him. “His monologue about my family isn’t comedy, his words are corrosive and deepen the political sickness within America,” Melania said in a statement (via The Daily Beast). “People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.
