A recent report has indicated that Luke Cage and Iron Fist may finally headline a new Marvel show. While details remain unconfirmed, the update has sparked new discussion about the long-rumored adaptation focused on the duo.
Heroes for Hire series rumored to be in works
According to a recent rumor circulating online, a Heroes for Hire project is being considered at Marvel Studios.
The update comes from industry scooper MyTimeToShineHello, who stated that a new Marvel show based on the comic book team is in development. The scooper posted on X (formerly Twitter), “A Heroes for Hire project is in development at Marvel Studios. However, the studio has not confirmed the report and no official details have been announced so far.
The rumor has drawn attention in part due to earlier comments from actors associated with the characters. In a 2024 interview, Finn Jones expressed interest in returning as Iron Fist and continuing the character’s journey. “I would like to see the character continue,” he said, adding that he believes there is still room for growth. When asked about the possibility of a Heroes for Hire series, Jones responded positively. He stated, “That would be nice. I would love to see the chemistry between me and Mike again.”
Meanwhile, Mike Colter, who portrayed Luke Cage, offered a slightly different stance in a separate 2024 interview. Reflecting on his time with the role, he said, “I don’t stay up at night thinking about it, nor do I recall it unless someone brings it up. But I enjoyed my time. I don’t look in the past.” Talking about the possibility of returning, he added, “If something comes up, great, we’ll talk about it. But right now, I’m past it.”
As of now, the reported project remains unconfirmed, with no official announcement from Marvel Studios.
