Defenders’ Spin-Offs Get Exciting Report After Daredevil Set Photos

The Defenders will seemingly be reuniting for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3, as seen in recently revealed set photos, fulfilling fans’ desires of seeing the band back together. Recently, a new rumor surfaced, revealing that Marvel Studios is looking to make spin-offs following each member. The Netflix Marvel universe first merged with the wider MCU in 2021, with Matt Murdock cameoing in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Kingpin appearing in Disney+’s Hawkeye.

Marvel reportedly looking at The Defenders spin-offs after Daredevil set update

A new report suggests that Marvel is making spin-offs for The Defenders. It comes from familiar scooper MyTimetoShineHello. They stated on X (formerly Twitter), “Oh yeah they’re setting up spinoffs for the Defenders.”

Ultimately, while possible, this is only a rumor as of writing and nothing more. Marvel has yet to officially confirm if Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist are getting solo projects.

Set photos from Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 seemingly confirmed the returns of Mike Colter’s and Finn Jones’ heroes. They showed the pair, along with Krysten Ritter — who is returning as Jones in Season 2 — exiting a Brooklyn courthouse. In the images, Colter and Jones could be seen wearing black hooded robes, which partially exposed their costumes.

The former sported a brown and yellow suit mirroring Cage’s mayoral campaign suit from the Devil’s Reign storyline. Meanwhile, the latter donned a white shirt, green trousers, and light brown shoes.

Born Again Season 3, currently in production, is set to premiere in March 2027. However, an official release date hasn’t been set. A recent rumor suggests that the Defenders will be protecting the city at the start of the third installment while Matt Murdock is in prison.

Meanwhile, the first three episodes of Season 2 are currently streaming on Disney+. New episodes will drop weekly on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) until May 5, 2026. Dario Scardapane co-created the show with Matt Corman and Chris Ord while also serving as showrunner.

The second season will be followed by Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher: One Last Kill special presentation, dropping on May 12, 2026.
