Vice President JD Vance has called aliens “demons” and admitted he is “obsessed” with UFOs, which is the latest addition to ongoing government discussions about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs).
JD Vance comments on aliens and UFOs
Speaking on the conservative Benny Show, JD Vance said he has not yet reviewed official files on UFOs but plans to do so. “I actually haven’t,” he stated. “I have not been able to spend enough time on this, but I am going to. Trust me, I’m obsessed with this.”
He then shared his views on extraterrestrial life. “I don’t think they’re aliens, I think they’re demons anyway, but that’s a longer discussion,” Vance quipped. Expanding on the idea, he linked unexplained phenomena to religious interpretations.
“Well, look, I think that celestial beings who fly around, who do weird things to people… I think that the desire to describe everything celestial, everything otherworldly, to describe it as aliens,” he added.
JD Vance further clarified that his perspective comes from his Christian beliefs. “Every great world religion, including Christianity, the one that I believe in, has understood that there are weird things out there, and there are things that are very difficult to explain.” In addition, “I think that one of the devil’s great tricks is to convince people he never existed,” he continued.
The comments come as discussions around UFOs continue in U.S. politics. Former President Barack Obama recently clarified that he saw no evidence of aliens during his time in office after earlier comments caused confusion. At the same time, Donald Trump has said his administration is working to release government files related to UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
All in all, recent developments have added to public interest. U.S. authorities registered the domains alien.gov and aliens.gov, prompting speculation about potential disclosures. When asked if all files would be released, Vance said: “We’re working on it.”
