RFK Jr. wore an arm sling at a recent Ag Day 2026 event, two weeks after undergoing surgery. The HSS Secretary appeared to be recovering from an injury to his rotator cuff as he delivered a speech at the USDA.
RFK Jr. posed for an event with arm sling
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was recently photographed with an arm sling at a National Agriculture Day event at the U.S. Department of Agriculture on Tuesday. The photos capture the Secretary of Health and Human Services posing with other officials as he sported a black sling securing his left arm. However, before he took the podium to deliver a speech, RFK Jr. appeared to have taken the sling off.
The HHS made an official X post on Tuesday to share the photos from the event. The photos included Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, Dr. Mehmet Oz, North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven, and EPA administrator Lee Zeldin. The post stated that “farmers and ranchers from across the country” attended the event to “unveil the new ‘Product of USA’ label.”
“Consumers will now be able to Eat Real American Food with confidence that the meat, poultry, and egg products they buy are 100% a product of the United States,” the HHS added.
RFK Jr.’s latest appearance comes a couple of weeks after he underwent surgery for an injured rotator cuff. As reported by NBC News, doctors said that recovery “can be slow and painful.” They also recommended regular use of an arm sling post-surgery.
RFK Jr. was also recently spotted wearing his arm sling at the World Down Syndrome Day event at HHS last Friday. With the Secretary appearing to be comfortable taking the sling off at the recent USDA event, he seems to be on the mend.
Prior to the injury, RFK Jr. had famously shown off his physical prowess on multiple occasions. Last month, the health secretary teamed up with Kid Rock to share a shirtless workout video. Kennedy titled the short clip “Secretary Kennedy and Kid Rock’s Rock Out Workout.”
