Jimmy Kimmel calls out Donald Trump over Robert Mueller post
TV host Jimmy Kimmel recently called out Donald Trump for his remark about Robert Mueller following his death. On March 20, ex-FBI director Mueller, who served from 2001 to 2013, passed away at the age of 81.
Commenting on his death, Trump wrote on the social media platform, Truth Social, “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people! President DONALD J. TRUMP.” Kimmel brought up the remark during his monologue on the recent episode of his talk show.
The comedian addressed Trump, suggesting that Mueller hurt innocent people and stated, “Meaning him. I guess it’s like all of a sudden he’s had the truth bottled up for so long, it bursts out of him. So much time has elapsed since the last time he said something true, he erupts. He just comes out with a death wish, which is an important reminder.”
Kimmel further added, “No matter how busy he is, President Trump will always carve out time to be a petty little b***h.” Moreover, he noted that people in Trump’s administration, such as US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, later had to come forward and “clean up the mess” that resulted from the President’s post.
According to a report by AP News, Mueller’s death was announced by his family in a statement released on March 21. In the statement, his family conveyed, “We are sharing the news that Bob passed away. His family asks that their privacy be respected.”
