Zendaya‘s upcoming romantic comedy-drama movie, The Drama, recently received a shining endorsement from Tom Holland. The Uncharted star recently took to Instagram to share his review of the film. Its plot revolves around an engaged couple, Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Robert Pattinson), who face a turbulent change in their relationship shortly before their wedding.
Tom Holland praises The Drama
Holland only had positive things to say in his brief review of The Drama. “I honestly couldn’t be more excited for you to see this movie and believe me when I say it’s gonna floor you. Get your tickets now,” Holland wrote.
The 29-year-old English actor shared his reaction following reported claims about his and Zendaya’s wedding. Notably, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in which both he and Zendaya star, also came out only days ago.
The Drama is one of the most highly-anticipated movies of this spring. Besides Zendaya and Pattinson, some of the other members of the movie’s cast are Mamoudou Athie as Mike, Alana Haim as Rachel, Hailey Gates as Misha, Zoë Winters as Frances, and Anna Baryshnikov as Sam. Kristoffer Borgli, who previously helmed Sick of Myself and Dream Scenario, wrote and directed the film.
Initial reactions to The Drama echo Holland’s verdict on the movie. Jairo Jiménez shared on X (formerly, Twitter), “The Drama is a perfectly executed exercise in disturbing romantic discomfort from Borgli. Robert Pattinson & Zendaya are sublime, turning their chemistry into cutting glances & suffocating silences — you won’t be able to take your eyes off them. A provocatively intelligent film!”
Besides The Drama, Pattinson and Zendaya will also appear on screen together this year in The Odyssey, in which Holland will also star, and Dune 3. Pattinson recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he would love to work with the Euphoria actor “again and again.”
The Drama debuts in theaters on April 3, 2026.
