Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam’s Demi Lovato has shared her Disney Channel Mount Rushmore. This comes shortly after Raven-Symoné named her top four. Lovato seemed to agree with Raven-Symoné in most of her picks. However, there was one actor Lovato did not want to include.
Demi Lovato unveils her Disney Channel Mount Rushmore
Demi Lovato opened up on her proverbial Disney Channel Mount Rushmore during her appearance on the Chicks in the Office podcast. The discussion came shortly after Disney Channel veteran Raven-Symoné opened up about the actors she would put in her Mount Rushmore.
The That’s So Raven star picked herself, Hilary Duff, Shia LaBeouf, and Lee Thompson Young as the foundational stars of Disney Channel. Lovato seemed to agree with most of the list. But she did not want to include one of the names from Raven-Symoné’s picks.
“It would definitely be Raven, Hilary,” Lovato said in the podcast, “Honestly, I agree with her answers. Hers definitely resonated.”
“She had included Shia,” co-host Fran Mariano reminded Lovato, to which the singer responded, “Eh, I’m okay on that one. We can pass.”
This comes shortly after Shia LaBeouf was infamously involved in an assault case. More recently, the Transformers star was seen shirtless in a hotel lobby asking for matches. A judge ordered him to enroll in rehab for substance abuse.
While Lovato did not confirm her final pick for her Mount Rushmore, she suggested looking at the ones who came before as well. “But like you have to even go back to The Mickey Mouse Club, too,” she said, “like people that were on Disney Channel prior to everyone I just named. You know, there was Britney [Spears] and Christina [Aguilera].”
However, she was unsure of this. “I don’t know. They were on Disney, but they didn’t transform Disney Channel into what it is… And I think Raven really did that, Hilary really did that,” she added.
She concluded by saying that there could be different Mount Rushmores for those who came in different eras. Lovato suggested another set for Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and “hopefully me.”
