A commercially successful Michael B. Jordan film is back to dominating the digital and streaming space following its multi-Oscar win at the 2026 Oscars. However, it is not alone, as it is joined by four other Oscar-winning/nominated films, including One Battle After Another, that became huge topics of conversation at the time of and during the lead-up to the ceremony.
Five big Oscar movies are leading digital streaming space
Leonardo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another and the Ryan Coogler-Michael B. Jordan feature, Sinners, are two of the Oscar-winning movies that are leading the digital movie market and streaming space. On digital, they are joined by three other Oscar-nominated/winning movies: Marty Supreme, Hamnet, and Sentimental Value.

Despite being relatively older films, Sinners and One Battle After Another are back in the top five of this list due to their wins and nominations. The former scored a record 16 nominations and won four — Best Actor (Michael B. Jordan), Best Original Screenplay, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score.
Meanwhile, the latter secured 13 nominations, winning six in the process. They include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor (Sean Penn), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Casting, and Best Film Editing.
Moreover, in the wake of their Oscar wins, One Battle After Another and Sinners became the top two most-streamed movies on HBO Max globally (via FlixPatrol). They retain their positions as of March 17, 2026.
Both films boast stellar critical and audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes. However, Sinners has slightly higher ratings than One Battle After Another, holding a “certified fresh” 97% critical and a “verified hot” 96% audience score. Meanwhile, the latter displays a 94% “certified fresh” critical score and a 85% “verified hot” on the site.
One Battle After Another underperformed at the box office following its release, grossing only $209.7 million against its $130-175 million budget. On the other hand, Sinners emerged as a commercial hit, making $370.1 million against its $90-100 million budget.
