Recent poll results indicate that Donald Trump‘s approval rating remains low. They also suggest that the ongoing war with Iran is one of the significant factors influencing the numbers.

According to a Real Clear Poll, 54.8 percent of respondents disapprove of Trump’s job performance, while only 42.7 percent are satisfied with it. A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted at the start of March found that only 39 percent of participants approve of Trump. On the other hand, a whopping 60 percent are not happy with his performance.

Moreover, according to a New York Times poll as of March 15, 2026, 41 percent approve of Trump’s performance in office, while 55 percent disapprove. The February poll by AP and NORC suggests that 62 percent of US adults are dissatisfied with Trump’s performance. On the other hand, 36 percent of participants approve of his performance as President. The effects of the conflict with Iran are also evident in The Economist’s poll. The results state that 56 percent disapprove of his performance, while 40 percent are happy with it. The poll by Rasmussen Reports suggests that Trump has 44 percent approval for his performance and 54 percent disapproval. Furthermore, 29 percent strongly approve of him, and 45 percent strongly disapprove of his second administration so far.

The poll results arrive amid Trump’s recent statements on the Iran war. During a recent chat with NBC News over the phone, the President stated, “Iran wants to make a deal, and I don’t want to make it because the terms aren’t good enough yet.”
