Saturday Night Live (SNL) mocked RFK Jr.’s health policies during the March 14 episode, with host Harry Styles participating in a sketch that mocked the “Make America Healthy Again” agenda. The “MAHAspital” spoof framed Kennedy’s approach as the anti-science alternative to medical dramas like The Pitt.
SNL jokes about RFK Jr. in new skit
The “MAHAsptial” skit marketed itself “for people who love The Pitt but can’t stand its phony liberal science.” Cast members used raw milk IV drips, shelved ivermectin, and suggested treatments including “methylene blue and a full-moon ceremony.” Instead of standard equipment, staff pushed whey powder, red light therapy masks, and “a cold plunge in blue jeans.” Harry Styles played a Dr. Robby-type character, appearing throughout the night as a Best Buy staffer, cruise host, and drive-thru employee.
When nurses assessed an 80-year-old potential stroke victim, his character offered an alternative: “What she needs is a steak. She needs protein, people!” In another scene, a patient’s “testosterone is crashing,” leading to a prescription of “bull semen.” A doctor later pulled the plug on a comatose patient after discovering they were vegan, declaring: “Well, nothing we can do.” Then James Austin Johnson’s Kennedy arrived shirtless and veiny, wheeling in a dead bear while wearing only jeans.
The moment referenced Kennedy hitting and killing a bear cub, then staging it in Central Park to look like a biker had struck it after running late for dinner. “Prep him!” Johnson’s Kennedy told staff. But not for surgery—”for jerky. He’s been dead for days, but the meat’s still good.”
A narrator advertised the show as appealing to viewers whose “favorite character from The Pitt was the guy who punched the nurse in the face (via NBC).” All in all, the SNL sketch targeted RFK Jr.’s federal actions, including revised childhood vaccine guidance, skepticism of psychiatric drugs, and a flipped food pyramid.
