Jimmy Kimmel’s Jokes Might Help Melania Trump, Says Psychiatrist

Late-night talk hosts like Jimmy Kimmel have left no opportunity to roast Melania Trump’s recently released documentary in their monologues, and, according to certain analysts, their bashing could help exponentially boost the movie’s streaming numbers. An expert psychiatrist recently provided her assessment of the criticism surrounding the First Lady’s film, stating that it’s highly likely the project will benefit from the negativity.

Jimmy Kimmel’s jokes are helping Melania documentary, says psychiatrist

Forensic psychiatrist Carole Lieberman is currently going to submit a proposal to the American Psychiatric Association to legitimize ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ as an official diagnosis. She recently talked about the impact mocking monologues from Jimmy Kimmel and other comedians could have on the First Lady’s documentary’s digital performance.

“For many people, hearing about something repeatedly — even in a mocking tone — creates curiosity,” Lieberman told OK Magazine.

“I have been studying the coverage of President Trump by late-night talk show hosts. Although most late-night hosts have Trump Derangement Syndrome and people do laugh heartily at their jokes poking fun at Trump, it doesn’t necessarily make them dislike Trump more,” Lieberman continued. “In fact, there are some unintended consequences, where people relate to his being mocked and side with him.”

Carole Lieberman concluded her account on the subject by saying, “It will alert people to the documentary being available on streaming outlets and will get more people to watch it than were willing to go to movie theaters after COVID-19.”

Notably, Jimmy Kimmel has delivered multiple monologues on his talk show, dissing Melania Trump’s movie. In one episode, he quipped, “Between this and Sinners, it’s been a big year for vampire movies. More than anything, this documentary is dreadfully dull. The whole thing is Melania going to fittings, riding in a car, trying on clothes, and interviewing people to work for her.”

The veteran comedian then slammed Melania’s promotional strategy for her film, calling her out for plugging the movie without considering the current geopolitical landscape. Kimmel also talked about Donald Trump’s phone call to his wife on the night of his election victory, describing it as “one of the funniest conversations I’ve ever heard.” He even added, “It almost makes me feel a little bad for him. She does not care at all.”
