Nick Offerman Calls Dennis Quaid ‘Crazy Donald Trump Guy’

Veteran Hollywood star Nick Offerman shaded his Sovereign co-star Dennis Quaid, calling him a “Crazy Donald Trump Guy.” Offerman further added that Quaid kept it under “wraps” until last year but has since expressed his fondness for the current President’s regime. Offerman seemed amply disappointed by the development.

Nick Offerman talks about Dennis Quaid

Nick Offerman spoke out against Sovereign co-star Dennis Quaid, a veteran Hollywood legend, during his recent appearance on Jon Lovett’s Lovett or Leave It podcast. Offerman provided an insight into Quaid’s rather sudden political awakening, something that Offerman did not like much.

Offerman said that “unfortunately, [he’s] a crazy [Donald] Trump guy with a gospel record.”

“He, like, exploded. Right after we finished the movie, he suddenly came out with a gospel country record and went on Tucker Carlson and f***** [Sean] Hannity to, like, play his Trump gospel songs,” Offerman continued. “And we were like, ‘What?’”

Offerman made it clear that he was quite disappointed by the development and had clearly hoped more from Quaid. “I mean, he’s a hero of my life. Like, I’ve looked up to him. He’s a great actor,” Offerman noted.

Lovett added that he thought Dennis Quaid’s brother, Randy Quaid, was a Trump fan. To this, Offerman answered, “He was very crazy. And he went away, but Dennis, like, kept it under wraps until just last year.”

Offerman further added, “He was just on Air Force One. He just was on a flight. Like it was a news story that he was the first person to know about Iran. F***** Dennis Quaid.”

As per recent reports, Quaid called Donald Trump “approachable, funny and genuine,” labeling him as his favorite President of the century (via OK Magazine). “He wouldn’t be president if he wasn’t genuine. The people who voted for him, they know that he has their best interests at heart, that he is a genuine person,” the actor said, “I’ve never seen anybody with that kind of energy. People say that about me, but he’s really got a lot of energy.”

Others like Lauren Holly and Lea Thompson have also criticized Dennis Quaid for his political views.
