Iron Man star Terrence Howard recently confessed that he once passed up the chance to date Beyoncé. Instead, he pursued a romance with another member of Destiny’s Child. The 57-year-old actor guested on Patrick Bet-David’s PBD podcast, where he claimed he could have dated the “Halo” singer earlier in her career, long before she got involved with her now-husband, Jay-Z.
Iron Man actor Terrence Howard had a chance to date Beyoncé
Terrence Howard of Iron Man fame has claimed that he once had the chance to date pop icon Beyoncé. Bet-David mentioned power couples in Hollywood and subtly name-dropped the “Irreplaceable” singer and her rapper husband, Jay-Z. Howard casually commented on the PBD podcast, “You know, I had a chance to date Beyoncé early on.”
He admitted that “there was a moment” when he was “attracted” to and “felt something” for the “Cuff It” singer. This was before she pursued a romance with her now-husband. The “Empire” star continued, “We had a conversation, you know, and I ended up talking to the other girl inside of, you know, Destiny [’s Child]. The girl with the blue eyes. That was very, very long ago.”
Although Howard did not mention the other girl, a picture of Farrah Franklin popped up with a question mark on the podcast. For those unversed, Destiny’s Child was originally comprised of Franklin, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson.
Notably, Farrah Franklin and Michelle Williams joined the group after Luckett and Roberson’s exit. Eventually, Franklin also parted ways with the group.
Furthermore, in the podcast, Howard recalled Destiny’s Child’s unforgettable performance at the 2005 BET Awards. The “Lemonade” hitmaker and her two group members, Williams and Rowland, picked three famous men from the audience to join them onstage for “Cater 2 U.” The 44-year-old pop icon picked Howard.
The Iron Man star recalled, “I remember Beyoncé looking over at me, and I think that’s why she picked me to do that dance, when she did the kind of striptease dance that we did at BET or whatever, to show me what I had lost.”
