Michael Che recently mocked the rash around Donald Trump’s neck, which was spotted during the Medal of Honor ceremony. He joked on SNL that the rash could have appeared after “someone accidentally washed his shirt in holy water.” The day after the ceremony, Trump appeared to conceal the rash with makeup. Michael Che addresses Donald Trump’s neck rash
During SNL’s Weekend Update, Che addressed Trump’s red rash around the neck during the Medal of Honor ceremony. He joked, “Apparently, someone accidentally washed his shirt in holy water.” This sarcastic comment sparked 10 seconds of laughter in the crowd.
Trump recently appeared in the Medal of Honor ceremony with a big red patch around his neck. The next day, during his presence at the Oval Office, he appeared to have concealed the bruise with makeup, as no visible redness was seen, just the textured scab.
At the time, White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella told PEOPLE that the patch is the result of him following a preventative skin treatment. “[Trump] was using a very common cream on the right side of his neck, which is a preventative skin treatment, prescribed by the White House Doctor. The president is using this treatment for one week, and the redness is expected to last for a few weeks,” he explained.
Apart from speaking about the rash, Jost and Che earlier also addressed the firing of Kristi Noem and her recently assigned new position as Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas. During the episode, Jost touched upon controversies surrounding Noem, including her allegedly spending taxpayers’ money on ad campaigns and her reaction towards the Minneapolis situation. He also joked about her alleged affair with Corey Lewandowski.
