98% RT Netflix Show Returning With an Entirely New Cast

The release date for Season 2 of a Netflix anthology series is on the horizon. It will feature an impressive new star cast, including an Oscar-nominated actress. Produced by A24, the first season of the Emmy-winning show followed two individuals who take a road rage incident a bit too far.

Beef Season 2 arrives on Netflix next month

Beef Season 2, with eight episodes, will premiere on Netflix on April 16th, 2026.

The upcoming installment will feature Oscar Isaac as Joshua, Carey Mulligan as Lindsay, Cailee Spaeny as Ashley, Charles Melton as Austin, Youn Yuh-jung as Chairwoman Park, William Fichtner as Troy, and Song Kang-ho as Dr. Kim, among others.

It follows a young couple, Ashley and Austin, at an elite Southern California country club as they witness the beef between their boss, Josh, and his wife, Lindsay. This sparks escalating manipulations as both couples compete for power within the club’s circle.

Lee Sung Jin returns as the co-producer and showrunner. Unlike the previous season, he aims to showcase a more passive-aggressive rage in Season 2. “It’s more about the internal repression of rage that you see in the workplace,” he told Tudum.

While an official trailer has yet to be released, A24 shared a few images from Season 2 earlier this year.

In a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, the showrunner said that he had planned out a three-season arc. He added that if Netflix renews the show for Season 2, there are “a lot of ways for Danny and Amy to continue.” However, instead of a follow-up season, Sung Jin shifted to writing a completely new story.

Beef Season 1 premiered with all 10 episodes on April 6, 2023, and became an instant hit. Within a week of its release, the show landed the No. 2 spot on Netflix’s ranking. It had garnered 70.38 million viewed hours, per Variety.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the first season boasts an approval rating of 98% from 125 critics and 87% from over 2,500 users. Moreover, at the 2023 Primetime Emmy Awards, Beef earned 13 nominations and won eight, including for Outstanding Anthology Series.
