Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban Have a Custody Battle Ahead — Source

Nicole Kidman’s divorce from Keith Urban may be finalized on paper. However, according to a new report, certain issues are still causing friction behind the scenes. The former couple is said to have worked through many of the major financial details without animosity. Now, a source claims one deeply personal matter remains unresolved. Reportedly, their shared love of animals, once a bonding force in their marriage, is now complicating the next chapter of their lives.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban likely to prep for a custody battle, claims source

According to an insider cited by RadarOnline, Kidman and Urban’s Nashville property is home to a “huge menagerie of animals.” These allegedly include a dog, cats, chickens, alpacas, and even fish. Per the source, the animals are “looked after by the staff” at the estate.

The source claimed that, for now, Kidman has assumed responsibility for the animals because Urban allegedly does not have the proper living setup to take them in. “Nicole has kept them all for now because it’s just not feasible for Keith to take them on,” the insider said. They added that the discussion has not been fully resolved and has instead been “put on the back burner.”

While the arrangement is reportedly temporary, the insider suggested the situation has become emotionally complicated. The animals are said to hold strong sentimental value, and disagreements over their long-term care have allegedly created friction between the former couple. According to the claim, some close to Kidman feel the responsibility has unfairly fallen on her shoulders. This, in turn, has reportedly led to “a lot of resentment.”

The pair, who were married for nearly two decades and share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith, 15, have long been known for their shared love of animals and rural life. Friends and observers say that passion made their farm a central part of their family dynamic. This may explain why decisions surrounding the animals have proven particularly sensitive.

While the issue may appear minor from the outside, the insider suggested it carries emotional weight for both sides. “People might scoff at it as a minor issue, but it’s not,” the source said. “These animals are very well loved.”
