Donald Trump’s New Poll Shows 61% Think He’s Become ‘Erratic With Age’

A new poll suggests that many Americans think that Donald Trump has become more erratic. This comes after the US President recently gave the State of the Union (SOTU) address of his second term at the House of Representatives chamber. Previously, an earlier poll’s results suggested that 68 percent of the survey takers think that Trump is focusing on the wrong problems instead of real issues.

Donald Trump’s new poll focus on his age

Recently, a new poll by Reuters/Ipsos stated that more than half of the survey takers feel that Donald Trump’s behavior has become more erratic as he grows older.

The poll was conducted before the US President gave his State of the Union (SOTU) address to Congress. According to Reuters, the results of the poll suggested that 61 percent of the poll respondents believe that Trump has “become erratic with age.” Moreover, 32 percent don’t agree with the statement.

The outlet further asserted that out of all the respondents who agree with the poll, 89 percent are Democrats and 64 percent are independents. However, a portion of the respondents who gave their agreement on the statement are also 30 percent Republicans. Reuters conducted this survey among 4,638 adults across the nation from February 18 to 23, 2026. In comparison to this, only 45 percent of respondents think Trump is mentally sharp.

In response to the poll, Davis Ingle, a spokesperson from the White House, told the Daily Beast, “President Trump’s sharpness, unmatched energy, and historic accessibility stand in stark contrast to what we saw during the past four years when the failing legacy media intentionally covered up Joe Biden’s serious mental and physical decline from the American people. Pushing these fake and desperate narratives now about President Trump is why Americans’ trust in the media just fell to a new all-time low.”
