Marvel Star’s Thriller Show & The Rookie Battle for Top Streaming Spot

A post-apocalyptic thriller series is currently ranking high on the top 10 charts of one of the major streaming platforms due to the recent release of its second season. Paradise, created by Dan Fogelman, debuted on Hulu on January 26, 2025. The series returned with its sophomore season on February 23, 2026.

Paradise ranks high on streaming charts after Season 2 release

Paradise holds the #2 spot on Hulu’s overall top 10 charts as of February 26, 2026, according to FlixPatrol, with The Rookie occupying the top spot on the platform’s streaming chart. The other entries on the list are American Idol, Memory of a Killer, Love Story, General Hospital, Predator: Badlands, Extracted, The Astronaut, and Will Trent.

Notably, while the data from FlixPatrol isn’t complete, it does give a broader picture.

Paradise stars Sterling K. Brown, whose credits include Person of Interest, This Is Us, Black Panther, and American Fiction. He portrays Xavier Collins, the lead Secret Service agent handling President Cal Bradford’s (James Marsden) security. The cast also includes Julianne Nicholson as Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond, Sarah Shahi as Gabriela Torabi, Enuka Okuma as Teri Rogers-Collins, Charlie Evans as Jeremy Bradford, and Nicole Brydon Bloom as Jane Driscoll.

Set in a devastated world, Paradise revolves around human survivors living in a massive underground bunker. When the series returned with its sophomore season, it received better reviews from critics, earning an 88% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while Season 1 achieved an 86% rating.

The Rookie, on the other hand, is an ABC police procedural series currently in its eighth season. Its cast includes Nathan Fillion as John Nolan, Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Wade Grey, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, and Eric Winter as Tim Bradford. Alexi Hawley created the series. The plot revolves around John Nolan, who decides to become a police officer at 40.
