MGM+ Reveals Robin Hood Season 2 Episode Count Post Renewal

Following its recent renewal, new details have surfaced about Robin Hood Season 2. The upcoming chapter of the MGM+ drama has now confirmed a key production update as the series prepares to return.

Robin Hood Season 2 to be as long as Season 1

MGM+ renewed Robin Hood for Season 2 and will produce another 10-episode installment, matching the length of Season 1. The renewal comes nearly two months after the first season concluded its 10-episode run. Season 1 holds a 75% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

“Robin Hood quickly became one of our top-performing original series of all time, and the response from our audiences both in the U.S. and abroad has been exceptional,” said Michael Wright. “We’re thrilled to continue this epic adventure for a second season. John Glenn, Jonathan English, and the entire creative team have reimagined this legendary tale with remarkable depth and authenticity, and we can’t wait to see where they take us next.”

Production on Season 2 will begin this summer at PFI Studios in Serbia. The new season will expand beyond Sherwood and Nottingham into additional locations. The series stars Jack Patten as Rob, Lauren McQueen as Marian, Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.

“The next installment expands the world beyond Sherwood and Nottingham into the treacherous courts of England, France, and Rome, transforming the outlaw rebellion into a high-stakes battle for the soul of a kingdom. As the Angevin empire threatens to tear itself apart, Rob and Marian are drawn into the orbit of kings and queens, forced to wield the very instruments of Norman power — politics, gold, and betrayal — to secure a future for the Saxons,” reads the official synopsis.

John Glenn and Jonathan English write and executive-produce the series, with English also directing. Todd Lieberman executive-produces for Hidden Pictures, while Carly Kleinbart and Nicole Bryant oversee the project. Lionsgate Television produces the series.
