On TikTok, Zara Larsson shared the singer’s reaction to Alysa Liu’s performance at the Olympics after her gold win. The Swedish musician is seen watching the video of Liu with her friends. Larsson had a huge smile on her face watching the routine and grooves as the figure skater swung her body. The 28-year-old goes “wow” as Liu continues her act. Moreover, Larsson appears to have goosebumps, and the video comes to an end with her clapping for the champion.
Liu also reacted to the singer’s response to her performance. She told E! News, “Wow, I love that,” and added that the positive reaction was “everything.” The 20-year-old further added, “I am only able to do such great programs because their songs are so great.”
The Olympic athlete also said how she “really connect with it,” continuing, “There was a time where I wasn’t confident in myself or I didn’t know I could step out of the lane. That was up until I was 16 years old when I stepped away from the sport.” The two-time Grand Prix medalist shared, “That was my first out-of-the-lane decision, and [my authenticity] just domino affected.”
Liu said, “It feels like I’m really just doing what I want to do, and I’m more confident in myself.” She further explained how she is ready to get back to her normal life, “It’s still me. I want my life to stay as similar as possible.” Liu concluded, “I’m really going to try to keep my peace because I like my life, so I don’t want it to be too chaotic. I want it to stay calm and peaceful and chill.”
