In May 2025, Ray J publicly suggested racketeering charges would be fitting for the Kardashians. Months later, Ray J took to a livestream and made further comments, saying, “The federal RICO I’m about to drop on Kris and Kim is about to be crazy” and “the feds is coming”. He even added that the situation was “worse than Diddy,” sparking intense speculation.
Meanwhile, Kardashian, along with her mom Kris Jenner, sued the I Don’t Care singer for defamation over his comments. In a new declaration, they stated he had “absolutely no basis” for making the allegations. The filing cites two instances where Ray J allegedly defamed the Kardashian-Jenner family. The first instance involves comments he made in TMZ’s Tubi documentary, United States vs. Sean Combs, in 2025.

Kardashian expressed concern that Ray J’s accusations might threaten her law career. “I feared that [his] accusations would put my dreams of becoming an attorney in jeopardy,” she said. The fashion mogul also added that the California State Bar’s moral character evaluation, which includes probing allegations of misconduct, is what’s worrying her.
