The forthcoming Resident Evil Requiem bundle has a strange, ultra-limited edition with accompanying workout equipment in Japan. Not only that, it sold out almost instantly. As part of their promotional campaign, Capcom (creator of Resident Evil Requiem) has teamed up with Yume Group to release a bizarre but very limited-edition bundle featuring exercise equipment.

Capcom collaborated with Yume Group to launch Resident Evil Requiem with accompanying exercise equipment in Japan. The Terrifying Nightmare Set includes a copy of the upcoming survival horror game on either PS5 or Switch 2 and a full-sized pull-up bar for exercising.
The Terrifying Nightmare Set, created in a special collaboration with Yume Group, is an ultra-limited edition of only 50 sets, priced at $127 each. According to IGN, the limited-edition deal was a huge success, selling out in less than 5 hours.
A tweet on the internet reads, “Resident Evil Requiem × Yume Group’s Collaboration Product ‘Nightmare of Terror Set’ Release Confirmed! You can purchase [up to 9 sets per person] on the Yume Group official website. Please also enjoy the TV shopping footage.”
Yume Group is known for their quirky commercials, and a similar cheeky advertisement is attached to the tweet. In the video, Yume Group president Shigehiro Ishida and affiliated singer Yuri Hoshina promote the game in a tongue-in-cheek style. Resident Evil Requiem director Koshi Nakanishi makes an appearance in the video as well.
The pull-up bar is dubbed the “Dream Hanging Health Device,” which avid gamers can use to exercise and relieve tension after fighting off zombies. Fans have reacted positively to the pull-up bar as well as the quirky commercial.
One fan commented, “Lmao I love Japan. Selling a pull-up bar with a game.” A second fan wrote, “Capcom bundled a pull-up bar with a horror game and sold out in 5 hours. Japan understands that gaming merch is lifestyle branding. Western publishers are still stuck on Funko Pops.”
A third fan penned, “So you can play the game and get your reps in? Niiice, lol.” Finally, a fan remarked, “Japan always gets the coolest bundles; honestly, surprised it even lasted 5 hours.” Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth main game in the popular franchise. It will be available from February 27 onwards.
