A source told US Weekly that Sweeney and Braun’s relationship is “still going strong.” Sharing an update on the nature of their relationship, they said, “It’s a very casual, laid-back relationship.” It shared what Sweeney’s expectations are currently of this relationship: “Sydney is not looking to settle down right now. She has been hesitant to get into another serious relationship but is enjoying her time with him.”
Before being romantically linked to Braun, the Euphoria star was in a relationship with Jonathan Davino for over 7 years, and they were engaged. However, in March 2025, they ended their 3-year engagement. In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Sweeney shared a rare insight about her love life with ex-fiancé, Davino. “I was in a relationship for a very long time, for seven and a half years, and I never talked about it. I was very private. No one would ever see us. I think it’s important to have some things for myself.”
The 28-year-old further acknowledged that, while she is aware of being a public figure, she is also in her 20s and looking forward to figuring out love. However, she believes it has become challenging, as everyone offers their scrutiny and opinions on what a relationship should look like.
Sweeney concluded, saying, “At the same time, for all of my 20s, I put my head down and focused on work—and now I want to experience things. But it’s hard deciding that I want to experience love in the public eye. I’m just navigating it all,” she concluded.
