Kim Kardashian is on a mission to turn her 12-year-old daughter, North West, into a billionaire. The business mogul has reportedly filed for a few trademarks to help her preteen daughter build a fashion empire.
According to RadarOnline.com, Kardashian’s lawyers have submitted three trademark applications to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a brand that hasn’t yet formally launched. It’s called “NOR11,” a nod to North’s nickname and her age at the time she reportedly started her line.
The applications, submitted via KimYe’s Kid Inc., a California corporation established in 2023, cover clothing and accessories, jewelry and watches, along with a variety of bags. With this, the SKIMS founder is “laying the foundation for generational wealth,” according to a source. The source added, “She has built Skims into a global brand, and now she believes North can do the same in her own lane.”
As per an industry insider, Kardashian’s strategy includes going for “broad trademarks”. “This is about locking down categories early and building toward a billion-dollar valuation over time,” they explained
Even a branding consultant observed that if North’s “name recognition” gets “managed carefully, this could evolve from novelty to serious fashion player, who could go all the way to billionaire status.”
And although Kardashian co-parents her four kids with ex-Kanye West, she is the one at the steering wheel when it comes to the business aspect. “Kanye has collaborated creatively with North before, but these filings show Kim is steering the ship,” claimed a source.
