Jacob Elordi Rumored to Have Been Offered James Bond Role

After years of speculation about who could be the next James Bond, new rumors hint that Jacob Elordi could be the one taking over the iconic role in Denis Villeneuve‘s upcoming feature. It has not been confirmed, but Elordi is the latest name to be added to the list of actors poised to take over the character after Daniel Craig’s critically acclaimed stint.

Jacob Elordi might have been offered James Bond role

Despite there being no official casting announcement, rumours posted by DeuxMoi claim that Amazon MGM has offered Jacob Elordi the role of the next James Bond. He could star in Denis Villeneuve’s Bond 26, the next installment in the long-running franchise.

Previously, Idris Elba was linked to the role for a long time. However, the actor clarified that he would not do it, especially after the conversation became about his race.

Following this, other actors like Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Tom Holland, Harris Dickinson, Scott Rose-Marsh, and Callum Turner were linked to the role of James Bond.

Elordi, who has been very active in the industry recently, was not a part of the discussion earlier. However, as it seems now, he could also be among the top candidates to take on the role. If the casting rumors do turn out to be true, he would be the second Australian to portray Bond. It would be after George Lazenby in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

Still only 28, he could also become the youngest actor to take on the role.

Despite being so young, Jacob Elordi has an incredible profile. He started in Euphoria, but soon impressed with performances in demanding films like Saltburn, Priscilla, and Frankenstein. As of now, he remains one of the most exciting young actors in the world.

Many fans on Instagram, however, were unsure of Elordi taking on the role. Multiple users pointed out that Callum Turner would be a better option to take the part.
